Your marketing plan

Explain and define your rationale for writing the book. 

  • What is your motivation? 
  • Why will the audience want to listen to what your book says?
  • Does the book fill a niche in the market?
  • Who is the target audience?
  • Can your target audience be reached at an acceptable cost?

What form will the finished book take, e.g. hardback, soft back, colour, black and white?  If the book needs to be produced in a certain way or with particular materials, is the market large enough for the book to be published and printed at a viable cost (information on this site should help you in this area – we strive to make as many book types as possible viable for any size of market).
